In the medium term, Russia plans to occupy 10% of the global arms market with its reconnaissance and strike unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), Dmitry Shugaev, director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) of Russia, said in an interview with RIA Novosti on the eve of the MAKS-2021 air show.
He noted that currently there is a greater interest of customers in the acquisition of drones on the arms market. "Russia is already supplying complexes with small reconnaissance drones to a number of countries, and we have signed new contracts for the supply of the following batches of these products. Also, in the near future, we expect the first contracts for the supply of our attack drones abroad, " the director of the service added.
Currently, the Russian Federation offers for export an unmanned complex with the Orion-E device in both reconnaissance and strike versions. The Aileron and Orlan reconnaissance drones are also offered for export.
In addition, the Russian Federation is developing a heavy attack drone "Altius", drones "Sirius" and "Thunder", a heavy jet drone "Hunter" and other devices.
