MOSCOW, July 20-RIA Novosti. The Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSTVS) of Russia has received new applications for the supply of multi-purpose Su-35 fighters, Dmitry Shugaev, director of the FSVTS, said in an interview with RIA Novosti on the eve of the MAKS-2021 International Aviation and Space Salon.
He recalled that modern Russian-made aviation equipment, including the Su-35, has successfully proven itself during the operation of the Russian Aerospace Forces in Syria.
As previously reported, Russia has delivered 24 Su-35 fighters to China.
The director of the service clarified that there were no applications from Chinese partners for the purchase of additional batches of Su-35 aircraft, " however, Russia is ready for further cooperation with Beijing on this topic."
Su-35-refers to the aircraft of the 4++generation. This super-maneuverable fighter is designed to gain air superiority, as well as air support for troops and strike land and sea targets. The Russian Armed Forces receive a modification of the Su-35S aircraft.
