Washington. July 20. INTERFAX-The Russian Embassy in the United States said that the deployment of hypersonic missiles by the United States would be an extremely destabilizing step.
"We would like to remind the Pentagon press secretary that the potential deployment of any American "hypersonic" missiles in Europe will be extremely destabilizing. Their short flight time would leave almost no time for Russia to make decisions and would increase the likelihood of an unintended conflict," the Russian Embassy in the United States said in a tweet.
Earlier, Pentagon press Secretary John Kirby said during a briefing that the US Defense Ministry is aware of reports of a test of a hypersonic Zircon missile in Russia, they believe that such weapons have a destabilizing effect.
"It is important to note that the new Russian hypersonic missiles can have a destabilizing effect, pose serious risks, because they can carry a nuclear dawn," he said.
