TSAMTO, July 16. In early July, as part of the development work (R & D) on the modernization of the Uragan MLRS, VOLATAVTO OJSC (Republic of Belarus) successfully completed preliminary tests of the 9P140MB combat vehicle.
According to the test results, the 9P140MB combat vehicle fully confirmed all the declared characteristics and requirements for:
- survivability and resistance to external influences;
- electronic protection;
- ergonomics and technical aesthetics;
- convenience of maintenance and repair.
During the ROC, the outdated ZIL-135 chassis was replaced with the MAZ-6317 automobile chassis. The Belarusian-made product provides the required transportability on public roads and off-road.
The transfer of the product from the field to the combat position and back is provided in the required time, with less physical effort of the combat crew than on the previous version of the system-9P140.
The upgraded MLRS provides the possibility of loading from a standard transport-charging machine.
During the tests, the product demonstrated stability during salvo firing and the strength of all structures at the maximum angle of rotation of the guide package. The cabin is protected from the gas jet.
The combat vehicle is equipped with modern means of navigation, communication and automation of the guidance process of Belarusian production, which ensure the effective use of the product for its intended purpose.
