According to its technical characteristics, "Aurora" has no analogues, said the general director of the holding Alexey Patrikeev
MOSCOW, July 15. /TASS/. Shvabe Holding of Rostec State Corporation will present a unique Aurora optical device for spacecraft at the upcoming MAKS-2021 Air Show. This was reported to journalists on Thursday in the press service of Shvabe.
"According to its technical characteristics, the Aurora has no analogues. The device is built on the basis of a mirror-lens lens with the maximum angle of the field of view. Unlike foreign analogues, it allows you to get high-quality images in the panchromatic and multispectral ranges, which is its key advantage, "the press service quotes the words of Alexey Patrikeev, general director of Shvabe.
Now "Aurora" is working on board the small spacecraft "Aist-2D". Thanks to this device produced by the Krasnogorsk plant named after S. A. Zverev of the Shvabe holding, panchromatic images of fires in Yakutia were taken from space. Today, more than half a million hectares of forest are burning in the region, including on the territory of specially protected natural objects.
"Aurora" is a wide-ranging multispectral device for monitoring the state of the Earth's surface from aboard small spacecraft. It is designed to transmit high-precision images to the monitor screen. Aurora allows you to solve a wide range of tasks in the field of cartography, emergency monitoring, hydrology, agriculture, forestry and fisheries, ecology and geological exploration.
The MAKS-2021 International Air Show will be held in Zhukovsky near Moscow from July 20 to 25.
