MOSCOW, July 14-RIA Novosti. Overcoming Russian protective zones in the Black Sea and Baltic regions was practiced at the recent NATO exercises Defender Europe-2021, Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council Mikhail Popov said in an interview with Rossiyskaya Gazeta.
"Recently, the largest multinational NATO exercise Defender Europe-2021 since the Cold War was held near the Russian borders, in which military personnel from 26 countries took part. During the exercise, large-scale transfers of US troops to Europe, the deployment and use of large interspecific groups of troops were worked out. As well as options for overcoming Russian access restriction zones in the Black Sea and Baltic regions, " Popov said.
