Pilots-graduates of higher military aviation schools in 2020 have started mastering the MiG-31BM interceptor fighters of a separate aviation regiment of Troops and forces in the North-East of Russia.
They performed the first independent flights in Kamchatka.
For the first time, young pilots were given the opportunity to independently pilot high-altitude fighter-interceptors MiG-31BM. Before that, the officers passed tests and performed flights with instructors.
The take-off and fly-over of the area was carried out in favorable weather conditions from the Yelizovo airfield, the standards for piloting a fighter at medium altitudes were worked out, as well as interaction with the flight control group, landing at the airfield.
The next stage of training of young specialists will be the development of flights in difficult weather conditions, as well as a flight into the stratosphere and independent conduct of air combat.
