Speaking about the state of military training aviation, the head of the department, Sergei Shoigu, noted that the presence of qualitatively trained graduate pilots allows us to effectively use the potential of aviation complexes
MOSCOW, July 13. /TASS/. The Russian military department is testing two promising aircraft for training aviation, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said on a conference call on Tuesday.
"To update the fleet of training vehicles, we are conducting complex tests of two promising aircraft of initial flight training - the Yak-152 and the UTS-800 on a competitive basis. Today we will discuss what else needs to be done to improve the professional level of cadet pilots, " the minister said.
Speaking about the state and prospects for the development of military training aviation, he noted that " the presence of qualitatively trained pilots-graduates, and there should be at least 700 of them per year, allows us to effectively use the potential of existing and promising aviation complexes with high combat capabilities."
"In turn, the material base of universities should include at least 500 modern training aircraft and 200 helicopters," Shoigu said.
