The Pentagon announced last week that the US and NATO forces had left the base in the city of Bagram. Some American media reported that the Afghan authorities were not warned in advance about the departure of the US military. On April 14, US President Joe Biden announced that he had decided to end the operation in Afghanistan, which became the longest foreign military campaign in American history. It is assumed that the US military contingent will leave Afghanistan by September 11.
