At the International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2021", at least three new promising developments based on Typhoon armored vehicles will be shown. This is reported by the newspaper of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation "Red Star".
To date, there are already fifteen specialized modifications in this family and about a dozen more are expected.
For example, medical structures up to the battalion level will be equipped with protected medical vehicles "Lens" entering the troops.
It is also necessary to mention the amphibious frameless armored K-4386 "Typhoon-airborne", which are equipped with various weapons systems, as well as equipment for various purposes. For example, a remote-controlled combat module with a 30-mm gun.
There is also a variant with the Kornet-M anti-tank missile system, which gives a significant increase in the combat power of the airborne assault component of the Airborne Forces.
It is expected that the MTR-K technical reconnaissance vehicle will be accepted for supply by the end of 2021. The tests of the air transportable self-propelled 82-mm mortar 2C41 "Drok", capable of firing from closed positions and direct fire, are coming to an end.
In the future, several dozen more experimental design works are planned for the needs of the Ministry of Defense.
