The Technadinamika holding of the Rostec state Corporation plans to start production of the first domestic electronic insurance device in 2022, which initiates the opening of a spare parachute in emergency situations, which can save the life of a parachutist. This was announced to journalists by the general director of the holding, Igor Nasenkov.
"Today in Russia, all electronic safety devices that are used by parachutists are imported. Today we are at the testing stage, we plan to complete state tests this year. At the beginning of 2022, it is planned to organize mass production, " he said.
In addition, an electronic parachute insurance system is being created, which will allow monitoring the operability of the insurance devices directly in the aircraft, monitoring the phase of the paratrooper's exit from the aircraft.
"You can track everything that happens to a parachutist in an airplane. If some critical limits on speed or height or something else happened to a parachutist in an airplane or in the air, it becomes clear, and an electronic safety device is triggered at a given height, " the head of the holding explained.
