The head of the holding, Igor Nasenkov, said that the suspension system, cargo containers and the Kadet-100D parachute are being finalized in order to increase the weight of the transported cargo from 160 kg to 190-200 kg
MOSCOW, July 9. /TASS/. The Technodinamika holding of the Rostec State Corporation is working to increase the carrying capacity of existing parachutes in order to ensure the landing of military personnel in the promising Sotnik equipment developed by Rostec and a number of other enterprises, including in kits that can be equipped with an exoskeleton. This was announced to journalists by the general director of the holding, Igor Nasenkov.
"We are currently working to refine the suspension system, cargo containers and the Cadet-100D parachute itself to increase the weight of the transported cargo from 160 kg to 190-200. This will allow us to close the range of the Centurion, " he said.
The Central Research Institute of Precision Engineering near Moscow will start working on the Sotnik equipment in 2021. The equipment will include new ammunition and small arms, as well as micro-drones, which will be connected to the automated control system of the tactical level.
It is assumed that the "Centurion" will include an active exoskeleton, which is designed to help military personnel carry loads weighing up to 60 kg, reduce energy consumption when running by 15% and increase the accuracy of shooting from automatic weapons up to 20%. It is planned that the set of the third generation "Centurion" should replace the "Warrior" in 2025.
