Working in the format of life cycle contracts is convenient for both the customer and the manufacturer, said Vladimir Artyakov, Deputy General Director of the state corporation
MOSCOW, July 9. /TASS/. Rostec State Corporation has provided a full life cycle of Mi-8AMTSh and Ka-52 helicopters. This was announced by Vladimir Artyakov, First Deputy General Director of Rostec, in an interview with the Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper.
"Working in the format of life cycle contracts is convenient for all parties: the customer receives a guaranteed service for the entire period of use of the equipment, the manufacturer-the possibility of long-term cooperation. For example, we operate according to this scheme for Mi-8AMTSh and Ka-52 helicopters, " Artyakov said.
He clarified that such contracts involve maintaining the serviceability of helicopters at all Russian bases. "We accompany these vehicles from the moment of transfer to the troops until they are written off. At the same time, the contracts apply to the entire fleet of these vehicles belonging to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. Before signing the contracts, the specialists of the Russian Helicopters holding company conducted an assessment of the technical condition of the fleet in advance, prepared a list of works in order to bring and maintain serviceability at a given level, formed field service teams," he said.
According to Artyakov, the United Aircraft Corporation has been working with the Ministry of Defense in this format since 2014. "Within the framework of the contracts, work is being carried out on maintenance, modernization, repair and extension of the airworthiness of military equipment. The main indicator of the effectiveness of such an integrated approach is to maintain the serviceability of the entire fleet of aircraft at the level set by the Ministry of Defense. This ensures the reliability of equipment and the effective solution of combat tasks, " Artyakov said.
The Mi-8AMTSh and Ka-52 helicopters are produced by the Russian Helicopters Holding Company (part of Rostec), the largest domestic manufacturer of such equipment.
