Washington. July 7. INTERFAX - The Chinese Academy of Space Technologies (CAST) plans to launch five remote sensing satellites of the Ningxia-1 series into orbit on Friday, the specialized American website Next Spaceflight reported.
The launch will be carried out using a three-stage launch vehicle "Changzheng-6" from the Taiyuan cosmodrome, located in Shanxi Province in northern China, at 20:00 Beijing time (15:00 Moscow time).
In November 2019, China has already put five similar satellites into orbit. In total, it is planned to create an orbital grouping of 30 spacecraft.
These satellites are developed by DFH Satellite Co. Ltd. The Chinese Academy of Space Technology and the Shanghai Space Flight Academy (SAST) are part of a commercial project funded by Ningxia Jingui Information Technology Co., Ltd. They will be mainly used for remote sensing of the Earth.
