TSAMTO, July 7. In the interests of the engineering troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the UPVS-5 installation for obtaining water in the Arctic is being developed.
The installation will allow producing at least 5 cubic meters of water per hour intended for household needs or 2.5 cubic meters of desalinated drinking water from snow and ice, as well as water purification from surface sources in the Arctic and the Far North. The cycle of obtaining water from the moment of deployment is no more than two hours.
The equipment of the installation is planned to be placed in two containers on a two-link tracked tractor, according to the Information Support Group of the Ground Forces.
