Two members of the Shenzhou-12 crew returned to the Tianhe main module of the Chinese Tiangong Orbital Station under construction after successfully performing extravehicular work in outer space. This was reported on Sunday, July 4, by the CGTN TV channel.
It is noted that Chinese cosmonauts Liu Boming and Tan Hongbo returned to the module.
The cosmonauts ' mission outside the module lasted about seven hours. At the same time, according to the TV channel, during the spacewalk, the tasks were solved, in particular, the lifting of the panoramic camera. Liu Boming and Tang Hongbo raised it at 7: 09 Moscow time, CGTN said.
Earlier, on June 17, Nie Haisheng, Liu Boming and Tang Hongbo moved to the main compartment of the Tianhe after the ship docked. It was noted that the crew will spend three months at the station and will return to Earth on board the return capsule.
On the same day, the Shenzhou-12 with three crew members on board docked with the PRC orbital station.
The launch of the spacecraft took place at 9:22 local time (4:22 Moscow time) from the Jiuquan cosmodrome. It is located on the Chinese border of Gansu. The Changzheng-2F launch vehicle was used to launch the spacecraft into orbit.
