On July 2, the US Space Command explained the situation with an American satellite "secretly launched" from the ISS as an error.
The day before on a specialized website space-track.org there was information that the American satellite BD-28 was launched from the ISS.
The command indicated that an error was fixed in the system, and the detected device turned out to be a Japanese kubsat.
"It turned out that in the data published on space-track.org, there was a bug that has already been fixed <...> BD-28, which also has the designation G-Satellite 2, is a Japanese cubesat. The country code for the object will be changed to JPN," Lieutenant Colonel Erin Dick, an official representative of the US Space Command, told RIA Novosti, citing data from the 18th Space Squadron of the US Space Command.
On June 6, it was reported that the American private space company SpaceX launched the Falcon 9 carrier rocket with the SXM-8 relay satellite, the device is normally put into the calculated orbit.
