The Kronshtadt Group of companies will annually produce dozens of drones at the first Russian factory for the production of serial attack unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in Dubna, for foreign customers, the production of drones will start in 2022, sources in the military-industrial complex and the administration of the Moscow region told RIA Novosti.
As previously reported, Russia has begun promoting Orion drones in the strike version to the international weapons market, a number of applications have already been received from foreign buyers for these devices.
He recalled that the launch of the plant is scheduled for November this year. "At the first stage, the new production will ensure the annual production of several dozen Orion drones in reconnaissance and strike versions," the source said.
Another interlocutor of the agency confirmed the information about the timing of the start of production for export and the expected volume of production of UAVs. "The Kronstadt Group of Companies has already started recruiting staff for the new site. In total, about 1,500 people will be required, 500 of whom need to be recruited within the next few months, " the agency's interlocutor added.
The construction of the first specialized plant in Russia for the serial production of attack unmanned aerial vehicles began in Dubna, near Moscow, in April. The production will be environmentally friendly and silent, its total area will be 45 thousand square meters.

The device can be in flight for up to a day. Its maximum take-off weight is 1150 kilograms, the cruising speed of the UAV is 200 kilometers per hour, the maximum flight altitude is 7 kilometers. The combat load of the Orion is 200 kilograms.
