At the 10th International Exhibition of Weapons and Military Equipment MILEX-2021, held last week in Minsk, several modifications of the Kaiman armored vehicles created at the 140th repair plant were presented.
Among them, the version equipped with the ADUNOK-BM-30 module stood out. This novelty of the Belarusian defense industry significantly increases the firepower of light military equipment and allows you to effectively fight ground, sea and air targets.
As you can understand from the name, the main armament is a 30-mm gun-the famous 2A42, which is actively used not only in the ground forces, but also in aviation. Its rate of fire is 550 rounds per minute. It is capable of hitting objects at a distance of 4000 meters. The vertical pointing angles are from -5 to +75 degrees and 360 degrees horizontally.
The modern sighting system has an automatic target tracking and can measure a range of up to 6500 meters. Ammunition-300 shells and 2000 rounds of ammunition for the 7.62 mm PKT machine gun. The weight of the module is 1380 kg.
As for the "Cayman", the armored vehicle itself has a mass of 8500 kg. The D-245.30E2 diesel engine is able to accelerate it along the highway up to 110 km / h. The speed afloat is 8 km/h. The power reserve on the highway is 1000 km. The capacity is 6 military personnel.
There are options with light weapons, for example, with a 12.7-mm NSV "Utes" machine gun or an AGS-17 "Flame" automatic grenade launcher.
