Military personnel of the special purpose compound of the Central Military District (CVO), with the support of snipers, destroyed a field node of a potential enemy in the Novosibirsk region. The event took place within the framework of special tactical exercises, as reported by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense on Wednesday, June 30.
According to the scenario of the exercise, the EW unit detected the operation of an enemy radio station on the territory of a field command post. After directly obtaining the coordinates of the enemy node, special purpose units were involved in the operation to destroy communication equipment.
The military carried out the tasks of reconnaissance of targets using special surveillance devices, and snipers with silent rifles of the VSS "Vintorez" were involved in the destruction of the security posts, which destroyed the security posts without a targeted shot. Then the special purpose groups began to defeat the imaginary enemy and capture secret documents with AK-12 submachine guns and Pecheneg machine guns. The task was completed successfully.
The enemy equipment was mined and liquidated after the departure of the group. The military also fired regular small arms at targets with a range of 200 to 800 m.
The military exercises took place at the Shilovo training ground, located near Novosibirsk. About 500 servicemen and at least 10 units of military and special equipment were involved in the events.
On the eve of June 29, it became known that within the framework of military exercises, MiG-31K fighters, which can carry hypersonic missiles, and Tu-22M3 long-range bombers flew over the territory of the Mediterranean Sea.
