He reaffirmed the US commitment to peace in the Middle East
Washington. June 29. INTERFAX-US President Joe Biden said that his administration is ready to support Tel Aviv's defense efforts, as well as that the United States will not allow Iran to create its own nuclear weapons.
"We are committed to an unwavering commitment to ensuring your (Israel - IF) self-defense. And today we will discuss a wide range of issues, including Iran. I can say that Iran will not get nuclear weapons with me, " Biden said at a meeting with Israeli President Reuven Rivlin in Washington.
The American president noted that his team is already "working closely" with the new Israeli government and he "looks forward to receiving Prime Minister Bennett at the White House very soon."
