Moscow. June 28. INTERFAX-Vologda Optical and Mechanical Plant (VOMZ) will fulfill the contract by the end of 2021 and provide the Kalashnikov concern with a batch of updated collimator sights, the press service of the Shvabe holding, which includes the enterprise, reports.
"All products, according to the technical task (TOR) of the customer, will have new technical characteristics," the message distributed on Monday said.
According to the press service, at the moment the P1x20-K collimator sight is undergoing production tests. The AVIS-K sight has been tested and accepted by the Kalashnikov Concern. It, as well as 30 mm rings with three height options, have already been launched into the series.
It is reported that at the request of the Kalashnikov concern, VOMZ has improved these models of sights. The modernization of the AVIS-K sight touched all the elements of the device. As a result, the sight received an updated design, new optics with improved color reproduction, an updated sighting mark and an extended life from a single battery.
Another VOMZ sight, which will be included in the project of the Kalashnikov Concern, is the PV 1 - 8x25L "Hort Hunter" with a Mil-Dot grid-this is a new third - generation variable-multiplicity optical sight. It is designed for hunting and sports at short and medium distances (up to 500 m) - corral hunting, approach hunting and shooting at small objects. Such a device is guaranteed to withstand the recoil pulse of rifle calibers up to 30-06. Factory tests of the VOMZ showed that this sight also withstands the recoil of the popular 9.6 x 53 Lancaster caliber,according to a press release.
According to Sergey Dmitrochenko, Deputy General Director of Shvabe, "the Kalashnikov trademark on the Shvabe sighting optics will become an additional guarantee of high quality, proven by the world-famous weapons manufacturer in the harshest conditions."
He noted that all products of this cooperation are created in close contact with representatives of the concern.
"Especially for the concern's technical specifications, our Vologda engineers have strengthened the mass-produced models of sights, and also picked up a line of accessories in various versions. The start of sales in special brand zones is scheduled for the fourth quarter of this year, " said Dmitrochenko, quoted by the press service.
The report notes that the use of VOMZ collimator sights improves the accuracy of pointing weapons and increases the rate of fire.
