TSAMTO, June 28. Hypersonic weapons have already been put on combat duty – the Avangard and Dagger complexes, other unique weapons systems are on the way, among them the Sarmat ICBM, the Zircon shipboard hypersonic missile, the S – 500 Prometheus air defense system and other complexes.
This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting with the best graduates of higher military educational institutions of the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the FSB, the FSO and Rosgvardiya on June 28 at the Grand Kremlin Palace, according to the Kremlin's press service.
According to Vladimir Putin, " a new state armament program is being formed with a planning horizon until 2034, and its implementation will be aimed at further strengthening the country's defense potential. And of course, you will have to work with this technique."
"The role and responsibility of the commander is now increasing many times. We need not only a thorough, fundamental theoretical training in the field of military science, but also a willingness to constantly study yourself, help your subordinates master the latest models of military equipment, because modern Armed Forces are a real fusion of advanced technologies, innovations and knowledge, " the President of Russia said, addressing graduates of military universities.
Vladimir Putin noted that " the highest requirements are also imposed on graduates of educational institutions of law enforcement agencies and special services. You will have to stand next to your comrades who ensure law and order and save people, participate in the elimination of the consequences of natural disasters, fight crime and corruption, terrorism, protect the country and our people from internal and external threats."
The President expressed confidence that " all of you, each at your post, will act professionally, decisively and firmly in the interests of the Motherland – as your mentors, teachers and commanders have taught you."
