According to him, more than a thousand enterprises and organizations have already expressed a desire to participate in the forum.
The Minister noted that for the first time for foreign partners, the Days of Military-Technical Cooperation (MTC) will be held on August 23 and 24 at the Alabino training ground and Kubinka airfield. "A new specialized exhibition" Arctic" will also be presented, showing promising samples of military equipment used in northern latitudes, " Shoigu said.
He said that more than 180 scientific and business events are planned to be held on the sidelines of the forum on topical issues of military construction, the development of the domestic defense industry, a wide range of cooperation with foreign partners. He suggested that the board consider the progress of preparations for the forum, recalling that there are 57 days left before its start. The Minister recalled that last year, despite the difficult epidemiological situation, the forum was held at a high level.
"About 1,400 enterprises presented more than 28 thousand samples of military and dual-use products. The Forum hosted 92 foreign official military delegations, 18 of them of a high level. Over 180 scientific and business events were attended by representatives of 32 foreign countries, " Shoigu said. A landmark event, according to him, was the signing of 41 state contracts with 27 enterprises of the military-industrial complex for a total amount of about 1.16 trillion rubles. "We expect that this year the interest in the event will be no less," the minister stated.
