Moscow. June 25. INTERFAX-Uralvagonzavod delivered a batch of tanks and infantry fighting vehicles on the Aramat platform to the Ministry of Defense in 2020 for state tests, according to the annual report of the Rostec state Corporation for 2020.
"Promising samples of the T-14 tank and the T-15 Armata infantry fighting vehicle were manufactured and delivered to the customer for state tests," the document says.
In April, the first deputy chairman of the board of the Military-Industrial Commission (MIC), Andrey Yelchaninov, said that in 2022 it is planned to deliver an experimental batch of T-14 Armata tanks to the troops for testing. According to their results, the Ministry of Defense will decide on the number of purchased vehicles.
On March 4, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that in 2022 it is planned to supply the troops with a pilot batch of armored vehicles on the Armata platform - T-14 tanks, T-15 infantry fighting vehicles and T-16 armored repair and evacuation vehicles.
The head of the Rostec state Corporation Sergey Chemezov and the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov previously announced the start of serial deliveries of armored vehicles to the army on the Armata platform in 2021.
In August 2018, Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Alexey Krivoruchko announced plans for serial deliveries of 132 T-14 and T-15 armored personnel carriers by the end of 2021.
Earlier, Yuri Borisov, when he was Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation (now Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation), reported that the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has a contract for the supply of two battalions of T-14 tanks and a battalion of T-15 BMP for military tests.
The T-14 (Uralvagonzavod, Rostec) is considered the world's only tank of the third post-war generation. According to military experts, "Armata" is a new word in tank construction, it has no analogues in the world. This is a fundamentally new and completely Russian development. The T-14 tower is uninhabited. For the first time, the crew is placed in an armored capsule, separated from the ammunition.
The UVZ stated that the T-14 Armata tank was tested in unmanned mode, but this combat vehicle was created for the crew.
