Kiev. June 24. INTERFAX-UKRAINE-President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky has signed a decree that puts into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council on indefinite sanctions against the Director General of Rostec State Corporation, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation Sergey Chemezov.
"To put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine of June 18, 2021 "On the application of personal special economic and other restrictive measures-sanctions," the text of Decree No. 266/2021 of June 24 says.
The decree is published on the website of the head of state and comes into force from the date of its publication.
A package of sanctions is being applied against Chemezov indefinitely, which includes blocking assets, restricting trade operations, completely stopping the transit of resources, flights and transportation through the territory of Ukraine, preventing the withdrawal of capital outside Ukraine, suspending the fulfillment of economic and financial obligations, canceling or suspending special permits for the use of mineral resources.
Chemezov is also prohibited from participating in the privatization and lease of state property of Ukraine, the entry of foreign non-military vessels and warships to the territorial sea of Ukraine, the issuance of permits and licenses of the National Bank of Ukraine, the issuance of permits and licenses for the import into Ukraine or export from Ukraine of currency values, and the issuance of cash on payment cards, the transfer of technologies, intellectual property rights is restricted.
In addition, other sanctions are applied that comply with the principles of their application established by the Law of Ukraine "On Sanctions".
Sanctions against Chemezov are imposed indefinitely.
A similar package of sanctions for a period of three years is being introduced against Mikhail Shelkov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation.
