It is already being installed on Russian border patrol ships
ST. PETERSBURG, June 24. /TASS/. The work of the automated communication complex "Rokot", which ensures the safe exchange of information between ships and coastal services, was demonstrated at the International Naval Salon (MVMS-2021).
"The complex is designed to provide communication between the ship and coastal facilities, ship-boat personnel and aircraft, ships and coastal facilities in the system of the global maritime security system and the maritime mobile service. Thanks to the modular design, the complex can be scaled for installation on both small ships and aircraft carriers," the press service of Rostec's Roselectronics holding said on Thursday.
"Rokot" was developed by specialists of the Neptune Research Institute (part of Roselectronics). With this complex, you can transfer large amounts of data, as well as telemetry, video, voice messages and e-mail. In addition, the complex provides intra-ship communication.
A distinctive feature of Rokot is the Neptune-IUS-R control information system, built using SDR (Software Defined Radio) technology. It provides information exchange over a wide range of communication channels, including Ku-band satellite radio communications, GSM cellular communications, HF and VHF radio communications and broadband networks.
The automated ship complex "Rokot" is already being installed on Russian border patrol ships.
The X International Naval Salon is held from June 23 to 27 in St. Petersburg at the Expoforum Exhibition Center.
