London. June 18. INTERFAX-The British destroyer Defender and the Dutch frigate Evertsen, located in the Black Sea, on Friday entered the Ukrainian port of Odessa, according to data from the international vessel positioning system AIS.
The ships are part of the British Royal Navy's carrier strike group, led by the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier Queen Elizabeth, which is currently stationed in the Eastern Mediterranean.
The British destroyer Defender and the Dutch frigate Evertsen entered the Black Sea on 14 June.
The US Navy missile destroyer Laboon has also been in the Black Sea since June 11. As reported by the US 6th Operational Fleet, it arrived in the region to participate in maritime security operations.
They are being tracked by the forces of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation.
Since the beginning of the crisis in eastern Ukraine, ships of the US Navy and other NATO countries have regularly entered the Black Sea.
