BEIJING, June 18. /TASS/. China successfully launched the Yaogan-30-09 remote sensing satellite into orbit on Friday. This was reported by the newspaper "Zhongguo Hantianbao".
As specified on the publication's page on the social network WeChat, the launch was carried out at 14: 30 local time (09:30 Moscow time) using a CZ-2C rocket from the Xichang cosmodrome in the southwestern province of Sichuan. It was the 375th for carriers of the Changzheng series.
According to the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, this device, as part of a group of satellites, will be used to study the conditions of exposure to an external electromagnetic field.
In addition, according to the newspaper, together with Yaogan-30-09, the nanosatellite "Tianqi Xingzuo-14" was launched, which will collect data in blind spots not covered by Chinese satellite systems.
Beijing is actively developing its national space program, developing meteorological, telecommunications and navigation satellites, as well as technologies for exploring the moon. Chinese scientists are also implementing a project to study asteroids and Mars, to study the surface of which they have already begun.
According to the official statement of the corporation, this year China will carry out at least 40 launches and set a new national record.
