TSAMTO, June 18. The Russian Defense Ministry will speed up the renewal of the training and material base of combined arms and aviation ranges.
This was announced on June 17 at the training camp of specialists for the maintenance of landfills, the head of the Department of Training and Material Base of the Main Directorate of Combat Training of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Colonel Sergei Nikitushkin.
"Thanks to the measures taken, in 2020 we updated the landfill equipment by 2 percent – this is more than 850 new objects, buildings and structures, more than 1.2 thousand different technical means. We will not stop here. We will significantly speed up the process of providing troops with training ground equipment, " he said.Nikitushkin.
Colonel S.Nikitushkin noted that updating the training and material base allows saving tens of millions of rubles annually for the maintenance and repair of the old base, improving the safety of personnel and automating the training process.
The training camps of the heads of the Armed Forces training grounds are held on the basis of the motorized rifle brigade of the Central Military District in the Orenburg region. They will last until the end of the week, the press service of the Central Military District reports.
