MOSCOW, June 17. /TASS/. United Engine Corporation (UEC, part of Rostec State Corporation) will present the latest marine gas turbine engines (GTE) at the 10th International Naval Salon MVMS-2021, which will be held from June 23 to 27 in St. Petersburg. This was reported on Thursday in the press service of the corporation.
"UEC will demonstrate models of marine gas turbine engines M90FR and M70FRU-the basic gas turbine engines of the 4th generation of the domestic ship power industry. The civil direction will be represented by a model of a ship's gas-turbo-electric generator with a capacity of 8 MW, which differs in modern characteristics, " the press service informed.
Marine engines are one of the main activities of the corporation, the UEC noted. "The development, mass production and repair of marine gas turbine engines and units is a new Russian competence. Today, modern surface ships of the Navy are equipped with UEC products, " the press service quoted Viktor Polyakov, Deputy General Director of the UEC, as saying.
The theme of the MVMS-2021 traditionally includes shipbuilding and shipbuilding, weapons and armament, combat control, navigation, communications and control systems, ship power plants, marine aviation, fleet basing and support infrastructure, and more. The exposition of the salon will be located on the territory of the Expoforum Convention and Exhibition Center, the display of ships, boats and vessels is planned at the berths of the Passenger Port of St. Petersburg.
