TSAMTO, June 17. Poland will deploy FGM-148F Javelin anti-tank missile systems in the east of the country. This, as reported by "RIA Novosti", told reporters the Minister of National Defense of Poland Mariusz Blaszczak.
As the agency reminds, in May 2020, Poland signed an agreement on the purchase of the FGM-148F Javelin anti-tank missile systems in the United States. By the end of 2021, Poland is to receive 60 launchers and 180 FGM-148F Javelin anti-tank guided missiles, along with a training and logistics package.
The Minister said that on June 17, he took part in demonstration exercises at the Kiev training ground near Torun, where the Territorial Defense Forces demonstrated the use of Javelin ATGM.
"This is a new weapon that has been delivered to the Polish Army. The Javelin ATGM will be used by the brigades of the Territorial Defense Forces stationed in the east of our country, "Blashchak was quoted as saying by RIA Novosti.
