In the Network there were photos of another unusual gantrak - this time from Venezuela. There, the military installed a Soviet 23-mm Zu-23-2 anti-aircraft gun in the back of an American GMC M35 truck.
The corresponding pictures drew the attention of dambiev . When and where they were made, it is not reported, as well as whether this machine participated in the fighting. According to some sources, as of 2017, Venezuela had about 200 ZU-23-2s at its disposal.
This anti-aircraft gun was adopted in the USSR in 1960. Its purpose is the destruction of aircraft, infantry and light armored vehicles. The twin barrel provides a rate of fire of two thousand rounds per minute. The firing zone reaches two kilometers in height, and two and a half kilometers in range. There are also cases of successful use of this installation against Vickers tanks during the war in Nigeria in 2015 - 2018.
