Vadim Kulit, deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Warring parties in Syria, said that they intend to accuse the Syrian government forces of using toxic substances against civilians.
MOSCOW, June 15. /TASS/. The militants of the terrorist group "Hayat Tahrir Al-Sham" (banned in Russia) plan to stage a chemical attack in Idlib to accuse the Syrian government forces of using toxic substances against civilians. This was reported to journalists on Tuesday by the deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the warring parties in Syria, Rear Admiral Vadim Kulit.
According to him, the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the warring parties received information about the preparation of the terrorist group "Hayat Tahrir Al-Sham" provocation in the southern part of the province of Idlib with the use of toxic substances.
"According to sources, the terrorists, accompanied by representatives of the pseudo-humanitarian organization "White Helmets", delivered four containers with toxic substances, presumably with chlorine, to the area of the city of Ariha by truck. Thus, according to the available information, the militants plan to stage a "chemical attack" for the subsequent accusation of the Syrian government forces in the use of toxic substances against the civilian population, " Kulit said.
He stressed that the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Warring Parties calls on the commanders of illegal armed groups to abandon armed provocations and take the path of a peaceful settlement of the situation in the areas under their control.
