The majority of Russian citizens (86%) expressed confidence in the ability of the Russian army to ensure the security of the country. This is evidenced by the data obtained during the survey of the All-Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion (VTsIOM), provided on Tuesday, June 15.
According to the results of the study, half (49%) of the Russian population expressed unwavering confidence in the opposition of the army to external threats or direct military attack. At the same time, a third (35%) of respondents chose the answer "rather yes than no" to the corresponding question.
11% of respondents expressed a polar point of view.
The sociological study involved 1.6 thousand respondents, whose age was from 18 years.
Earlier, on June 8, a representative of the Main Organizational and Mobilization Department of the Russian Armed Forces reported that at the moment the problem of evaders from military service is not considered as serious and that the indicators for such cases show a stable decline in recent years.
