The ships of the naval forces of Great Britain and the Netherlands entered the Black Sea. This is reported on June 14 by the National Center for Defense Management of the Russian Federation.
According to him, the forces and means of the Black Sea Fleet began to monitor the actions of the destroyer "Defender" of the British Navy and the frigate "Everton" of the Dutch Navy.
On June 9, the American destroyer Laboon entered the Black Sea, and the forces of the Black Sea Fleet also began tracking it.
On the same day, the US Navy's Sixth fleet explained that the destroyer was heading to the Black Sea to conduct security operations in the region. The ships of this class are armed with Tomahawk and Harpoon cruise missiles, as well as SM-3 anti-missile missiles.
According to the Montreux Convention, signed in 1936, ships of the Navy of States that do not have access to the Black Sea cannot stay in the Black Sea for more than 21 days.
