In addition, several girls are preparing for service in the assault aviation, said Deputy Defense Minister Nikolai Pankov.
ORENBURG, June 8. /TASS/. The first fighter pilots who will control modern combat aircraft will appear in the near future in the Aerospace Forces of the Russian Federation. This was reported to journalists on Tuesday by the State Secretary, Deputy Defense Minister of the Russian Federation Nikolai Pankov.
"We train all the girls in the Krasnodar Higher Military Aviation School of Pilots (KVVAUL) for combat aviation. Yes, indeed, there is a distribution by type of aviation: a few female cadets, there are not many of them, are preparing for fighter aviation, a few-for assault aviation, the absolute majority - for military transport aviation, " Pankov said after visiting the Orenburg Presidential Cadet School.
"In the near future, we will be able to see the first Russian fighter pilots in active combat units," he added.
According to him, female cadets fly, make parachute jumps and "without any indulgences, fully perform the training program for Russian military pilots."
Currently, some of the pilots in KVVAUL have completed the fourth year. In particular, on the L-39 jet training aircraft, they master various types of flight training, including complex aerobatics and group coordination.
