MOSCOW, June 2-RIA Novosti. Moscow has seen the statement of Sudan's intention to reconsider the decision on the military base, the discussion is going on through diplomatic channels, the press secretary of the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov said on Wednesday.
The intention to review the decision was previously announced by the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Sudan, Muhammad Usman al-Hussein, citing the fact that the document was adopted by the previous government, but not ratified by Parliament.
"Yes, we have seen these statements, and you know that we are in constant contact with the Sudanese side through diplomatic channels. We will deal with this issue, " Peskov said, answering the question whether the Kremlin is aware of Sudan's intentions.
