Russia has nothing to do with the explosions at the weapons depots in the Czech Republic, and the accusations that have emerged so long after the incident itself are related to the desire to aggravate relations. This opinion was expressed by the General Director of the state corporation "Rostec" Sergey Chemezov.
According to him, it is surprising that this happened quite a long time ago, and the investigation is almost complete, and suddenly "a wave of anti-Russian sentiment began from somewhere." Even the president of the Czech Republic said that I'm sorry, but this is not true, because he was informed by the special services about the results of the investigation, Chemezov recalled.
"There was no trace of Russia or the Russian special services in this incident and there is no trace of it. I think this is a pure provocation to create a scandal. And to aggravate relations, " the head of Rostec said in an interview with RBC.
To a clarifying question about how exactly the provocateurs wanted to aggravate relations, Chemezov also answered with a question: "And what is the purpose of aggravating Ukraine's relations with Russia?"
And he himself answered it - " To pull Ukraine away from Russia, to create a hotbed of tension on the border with Russia and on the nearest borders with Russia."
"And the Czech Republic is also not so far from Russia," the head of the state corporation explained.
Recall that recently the President of the Czech Republic Milos Zeman said that he is not inclined to any one of the versions about the explosions at military depots in Vrbetice in 2014. At the same time, he admitted that the incident could be the desire of the tenant company to cover its tracks, hiding a possible shortage of ammunition.
The fact that the Czech Republic is considering only one version of the events in Vrbetice in 2014, according to which the explosions at the ammunition depot led to sabotage by foreign special services, said the Prime Minister of the republic Andrei Babis. At the same time, he mentioned Russia.
The scandal was followed by the mutual expulsion of the diplomats. But the EU countries did not support the Czech Republic in this.
