MOSCOW, June 2-RIA Novosti. Moscow and Washington are in contact about a hacker attack on JBS, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said on Wednesday.
"Yesterday, the State Department and our embassy in Washington held a corresponding conversation. Probably, from this point of view, we can say that the US administration is in direct contact with the Russian government," the diplomat told reporters.
Earlier, a cyberattack on an international company and the world's largest meat producer JBS Food led to the closure of its factories in the United States.
President Joe Biden said that all possible measures will be taken to mitigate the consequences of the cyberattack.
The White House said the US is in contact with Russian authorities as the company claims the ransom may have been demanded from Russia.
