TSAMTO, June 1. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that Russia will supply modern weapons to the republic, RIA Novosti reports.
As the state publication "SB. Belarus Today" reported on its website on June 1, the President of Belarus said at a meeting on cooperation with the Russian Federation that one of the topics of the talks between the Presidents of Belarus and Russia in Sochi was "cooperation in the military-industrial complex, including the supply of modern weapons to Belarus."
"It remains to be determined on what terms this will be done," the message says, referring to A. Lukashenko.
According to the newspaper, "A. Lukashenko instructed the relevant officials to determine with their Russian colleagues what modern weapons Belarus needs first of all," the agency notes.
