The new Russian manned spacecraft "Eagle" will be able to fly around the Earth for about a year and around the Moon for up to six months, according to the materials of Roscosmos, posted on [...] the state procurement website.
"The frequency of use of the returned vehicle should be: when performing near-Earth flights as part of elements of the near-Earth orbital infrastructure lasting at least 356 days and flights to the Moon lasting no more than 30 days-ten flights; when performing a flight to the Moon and being part of elements of the near-Moon orbital infrastructure lasting no more than 180 days-no more than three or four flights," - follows from the materials.
The total service life of the ship "Eagle", provided that inter-flight maintenance is performed, should be at least five years, and for the returning vehicle that is part of it — ten years.
On December 19, the head of Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, announced that the first test flight of the Russian spacecraft "Eagle" is scheduled for December 15, 2023.
Initially, the Eagle was supposed to be launched on a Rus-M rocket, but the rocket project was closed in 2011. In 2019, it was decided to launch the ship on Angara missiles.
In 2025, it is planned to carry out a manned flight of the Eagle.
