Moscow. May 27. INTERFAX-An optical system with an enlarged relative aperture has been patented, which, with high image quality, has a shorter optical system length and a simplified design, the press service of the Shvabe holding company said on Thursday.
"The invention of the Scientific and Production Association" State Institute of Applied Optics "(NPO HYPO) of the Shvabe holding can be used in the creation of television and photographic systems, in measuring devices with multi-element matrix radiation receivers, " the report says.
The press service explained that the optical system works as follows: the radiation stream from an infinitely distant object passes through the lenses of the system, refracting on each surface in accordance with the radii of curvature and the materials of the lenses, and focuses in the plane of the sensitive elements of the radiation receiver. The diameter of the radiation beam is determined by the diameter of the aperture diaphragm located inside the lens.
According to the general director of the NGO HYPO, Villen Baloev, " the proposed optical system, in comparison with existing analogues, has an increased relative opening, smaller overall dimensions and the number of optical elements with high image quality."
