The company SberAutoTech, part of the Sber ecosystem, has presented a prototype of an autonomous electric transport FLIP, which can become a prototype for the taxi of the future, the company said in a statement received by the editorial office of <url>.

"In combination with the flexible architecture of the self-driving technology developed by SberAutoTech, this will allow us to offer solutions for a wide variety of areas: cargo transportation, last mile, taxi. These technologies are the future, and we are proud that the development of this area was made possible thanks to the synergy within the ecosystem and engineering solutions of SberAutoTech, "said Sberbank Group, Executive Vice President of Sberbank, Head of the Technology block David Rafalovsky.

It is noted that the development has the maximum (fifth) level of autonomy according to the international classification.

"The company's know-how is the layout of the batteries, which allows you to replace all the modules in no more than five minutes, which is comparable to refueling a standard car with traditional fuel. This solution actually removes the existing restrictions for the use of electric vehicles: long charging of standard batteries and their high cost, dictated by the necessary capacity and power reserve of electric vehicles, " the company said in a statement.

In particular, gas can be used as alternative energy sources.

In terms of dimensions, the FLIP resembles a standard passenger car with an increased volume of free internal space by 40 percent, which allows you to comfortably accommodate six passengers.

The operation of the autonomous electric transport from Sber involves the use of a user application in which personalization and security are provided by biometrics technologies and communication through the virtual assistant "Salyut".

In June, it is planned to present the FLIP to the participants of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

In May , it was reported that Beber will launch a service for long-term car rental for a period of six months to three years.
