Roscosmos intends to create a device that will transmit data on the location of children and the elderly in the event of their disappearance via satellites. This was announced on Tuesday, May 25, by Alexander Bloshenko, Executive Director of the State Corporation for Advanced Programs and Science, speaking at Skolkovo .
"We saw that we could make small wearable devices on the basis of our promising group "Marathon", which we are developing as part of the "Sphere" program. They look like an anti-avalanche bipper that is sewn into ski jackets. They will have a battery that can be changed every few years. Further, these devices can be used in vests, bags, bracelets, "RIA Novosti quotes him as saying.
Bloshenko stressed that the state corporation called this service "satellite button of life" and in the future they plan to choose such an operator of this service, which will sell inexpensive wearable devices for a small subscription fee.
It is suggested to equip children and elderly people with dementia with such transmitters during hikes or walks. The device will allow using satellites to detect the last point where the person was before the disappearance.
The data will be transmitted via Marathon devices, and it is planned to use GLONASS navigation satellites to determine the location of the sensor.
On May 10, the center of competence of NTI "Sensorika" announced the development of a "smart" bracelet with a non-invasive sensor that will allow you to accurately measure the level of glucose in the blood.
The device will be a wristband. The indicators will be transmitted to a smartphone that can send statistics to the doctor via a cloud-based telemedicine service. Later, the specialist will be able to analyze the information in a special application.
