At a meeting of the Russian organizing committee "Victory", Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke on the topic of threats against the Russian Federation. The Russian leader noted that our country can "knock out the teeth" of those who try to "bite" it.
Reacting to the remark of the participant of the meeting, Vladimir Putin stated that at all times the same thing happened: as soon as Russia became stronger, there were reasons for attempts to limit its development. "As one of the Russian emperors said, everyone is afraid of our immensity," the president quoted.
And even when after the collapse of the USSR, a third of the potential was lost, still for someone Russia remained too big, he continued.
The Russian leader recalled that the territory of the Russian Federation remains the largest in the world, although in terms of population we are inferior to a number of countries. "Someone even publicly dares to say that it is unfair to claim that Russia owns the wealth of a region like Siberia," Putin said. "Only one country."
The head of state called such speeches strange.
"Everyone wants to bite us or bite something off of us," he continued. "But they should know-those who are going to do it - that we will knock out everyone's teeth. So that they can't bite."
And the key to this is the development of the Russian armed forces, the President stressed.
Attempts to contain the Russian Federation will continue, Vladimir Putin is sure. "Because many of our opponents simply do not need such a country as Russia," he explained. "But you and I need it. Our people, the citizens of the Russian Federation, need it. And we will do everything not only to preserve it, but also to strengthen and strengthen it."
The Head of State added that in order to achieve this strategic goal, it is necessary to do everything to preserve the memory of the past, of those who defended our Homeland.
