Moscow. May 20. INTERFAX-Russian President Vladimir Putin signed an order on the evacuation of Russian and CIS citizens from the Gaza Strip.
"In connection with the sharp deterioration of the situation in the Gaza Strip as a result of the military operation of the Armed Forces of the State of Israel, provide for the evacuation of citizens of the Russian Federation and citizens of the CIS member states who are in the Gaza Strip," the presidential decree says, published on the legal information portal.
The document is dated May 20 and comes into force from the date of signing.
Putin instructed the Russian Foreign Ministry, together with the SVR and the Ministry of Emergency Situations, to determine the specific timing and format of the evacuation of citizens, taking into account the development of the situation in the Gaza Strip.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations was instructed to ensure, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the delivery of evacuated citizens to Moscow.
