A promising hypersonic missile Long-Range Hypersonic Weapon (LRHW) of the US army, launched from London, is capable of hitting Moscow during a military conflict, says the American magazine Popular Mechanics.
"From Europe, say, from London, the LRHW can hit targets in the east, as far as Moscow," the publication says.
However, the publication claims that the new weapon will act as a " deterrent, which ideally reduces the likelihood of conflict."
The magazine also notes that the LRHW, launched from positions located in the Pacific Ocean, will be able to hit targets in China.
Popular Mechanics, referring to the publication Breaking Defense, recalls that the range of the LRHW of the US army will exceed 2,775 kilometers.
In August 2020, the United States Army, during an online briefing , showed the launch, flight and target defeat of a missile with a hypersonic Glide Body Common Hypersonic Glide Unit (C-HGB), which will receive an LRHW.
The corresponding tests conducted by the US Navy and the US Army took place in March of the same year.
