Specialists of the rocket troops and artillery of the 58th Combined Arms Army of the Southern Military District (SE) in North Ossetia prepared the Iskander operational and tactical missile systems for the summer operation mode and went on combat duty.
During the preparation of the equipment, more than 4 tons of engine and transmission oils and about 1.5 tons of greases were used. Carrying out routine maintenance significantly increases the resource of trouble-free operation of components, assemblies and systems of military equipment.
In total, during the transition to the summer mode of operation, more than 200 weapons were serviced, including self-propelled launchers, transport-loading and command-staff vehicles. Seasonal maintenance was carried out on all military and special equipment in service with the unit, from passenger cars to autonomous launchers.
The Southern Military District also reported that after the completion of the training activities, the military personnel of the missile unit went on combat duty in the North Caucasus and Transcaucasia.
