In the Southern Military District (SE) in the Volgograd region, more than 320 junior specialists of the training battalion of the railway troops passed final exams in 7 military accounting specialties.
The exams were supervised by the chairman of the commission – the deputy head of the production department of the department (organization of production) of the Main Department of the Head of the Railway Troops, Colonel Vladimir Smirnov.
Specialists were trained in the following areas: driver of track cars (VPRM-G, PRM-RM), electrician - operator of track cars, operator-electrician of track cars (VPRM-G, PRM-RM), operator-electrician of track cars (PB-3M), motorist of ferry (tow-motor) vehicles, installer-pontooner, driver of the SRK-50 cantilever crane.
After the training course, military personnel can perform installation, repair and restoration work, restore bridges, lay and dismantle the railway track, assemble the links of the rail-sleeper grid, control boats when aiming floating railway bridges.
Next, the servicemen will go for military service in the formations and military units of the railway troops from the Crimea to the Far East. Graduates will take part in the reconstruction of the Baikal-Amur railway, as well as in the annual large-scale special exercises of the logistics forces.
